NOVOTHERM coatings by NOVOPLASTIK
For particularly demanding applications in the chemical industry and chemical logistics, HÜNI+CO relies on high-quality NOVOTHERM coatings from our long-standing partner NOVOPLASTIK – a German premium manufacturer of specialty coatings. These pore-tight, smooth and abrasion-resistant surfaces offer exceptionally high chemical resistance and are specifically designed for tank containers that must withstand aggressive media, high temperatures and pressure loads.
Resistant to organic and inorganic acids, water-soluble salts in the acidic range, solvents and water, NOVOTHERM coatings provide reliable protection against corrosion and incrustations to ensure maximum safety.
This specialization makes NOVOTHERM a perfect addition to the HÜNI+CO portfolio – enabling projects that demand the highest standards of safety, material protection and durability, especially in the chemical industry, chemical logistics and hazardous goods transport.

NOVOTHERM 120 and NOVOTHERM 170
NOVOTHERM 120 and NOVOTHERM 170 are hydrophobic, thermally cured phenolic resin-based thermoset coatings, engineered to meet the most demanding requirements in industrial applications.
NOVOTHERM 120 is ideally suited for environments with acidic, hydrolyzing salts in aqueous solutions of up to 20% and a pH below 6 – a reliable solution for the most demanding industrial applications.
NOVOTHERM 170, the conductive variant of NOVOTHERM 120, delivers outstanding chemical resistance to almost all organic and inorganic acids as well as solvents. Ideally suited for storing flammable liquids of hazard classes AI, AII, AIII, and B, it complies with the Technical Tank Regulations (TRT 008) – ensuring maximum safety in sensitive applications.
NOVOTHERM 120 and NOVOTHERM 170 coatings are primarily used in the chemical industry, transport and logistics and in apparatus and container construction – for example, in storage and transport tanks, tank containers and general chemical engineering.
