Our company has been nominated for the Großer Preis des Mittelstands, Germany’s most prestigious business award. The award recognises medium-sized companies as pillars of the economy. The award ceremony will be held in Würzburg in September.
That’s good news in these turbulent times: HÜNI+CO has been nominated for the Großer Preis des Mittelstands. Nothing has been won yet, but “the nomination alone is an honour for us,” explains Managing Director Alexa Hüni. “We also see it as recognition of the consistency of our company over decades, our proximity to our customers and our ties to the region.”
A jury evaluates criteria such as the overall development of a company and its jobs, its innovative strength, services and marketing, as well as its commitment to social issues, for example. Companies cannot apply themselves, but can only be nominated by third parties. The award ceremony will take place at a large gala in Würzburg in September.
The award has been organised annually since 1994 by the private Oskar Patzelt Foundation based in Leipzig. One of its aims is to support small and medium-sized enterprises as the backbone of the German economy. Partners are the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, the Chambers of Crafts, the Federal Association of the Service Industry (BDWi), business and employers’ associations as well as regional councils and institutions.
